Water Screening Results Are In

September 7th was an action packed day at the Agricultural Service Center Conference Room as the Ashe County Center of Cooperative Extension, in collaboration with the Town of Jefferson Water Services along with 21 community volunteers, processed 173 bottles of drinking water from private wells and springs in the county.

Home Builders’ Event Raises
Over $10,000 For Scholarship

The fundraising prime rib dinner and raffle held recently at Ashe County High School by the Ashe County Home Builders Association was a complete success and raised over $10,000 that will be used to support a scholarship for a graduating vocational student at ACHS.
