Downtown Property Owners Concerned About Loitering, Cruisers
A group of concerned downtown business owners attended the West Jefferson Aldermen meeting Thursday night to request a commitment to help them keep cruisers from loitering and causing damage to the downtown.


Grant Brings Credit Counseling Service
To Ashe County Residents

A grant in the amount of $5,000 was presented to Program Coordinator Bud Hill of the IDA Program from Bethany United Methodist Church that will be used to hold credit counseling sessions for local residents.

Sparta Teapot Museum Welcomes $35,000 Grant
The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation of Winston-Salem recently awarded $35,000 to the Sparta Teapot Museum, according to Jonathan Halsey, project manager.
