Charles Perdue was recently promoted to Assistant Editor at McFarland.

McFarland & Company Announces Promotion

McFarland & Company, Inc., Publishers, of Jefferson, are pleased to announce the promotion of Charles L. Perdue to Assistant Editor. He joined McFarland in 2003 as an editorial assistant. A native of Jamestown, North Carolina, Perdue graduated from Appalachian State University in 1997 with a degree in English literature. Perdue lives in Creston.

Founded in Jefferson in 1979, employing 42 local individuals, and now one of the country’s larger publishers with some 2,800 titles to date, McFarland publishes about 275 scholarly monograph and reference book titles a year, primarily for libraries, scholars and specialists worldwide.
