• Commissioners Vote On Occupancy Tax Controversy
A motion passed 3-2 Monday night to allow the Ashe Civic Center, The Ashe Chamber of Commerce and the 1904 Courthouse Preservation Organization (CPO) to have one cent each of the three cent occupancy sales tax.

• Ashe Residents To Hear SWOT Report From Economic Development Group
AngelouEconomics will return to Ashe County to present a report highlighting the county’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT).

• Lansing Aldermen Continue To Address Christian Ministry
The Town of Lansing is planning to look further into finding grant money to hire a part time police officer.
